Dr. Becker is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist. Dr. Becker received his bachelor’s in Biology from the University of Massachusetts. His Doctorate of Medicine is from Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatry residency at East Tennessee State University & served as Chief Resident for two years. Dr. Becker provides treatment to adults & geriatric patients.

Alex Ferro, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in psychiatric care, with a primary clinical focus on the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and treatment-resistant depression. Alex is dedicated to providing evidence-based, compassionate care for individuals who have not experienced adequate relief from traditional treatment approaches.

 

He completed his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at South College in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he received comprehensive clinical training in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and psychopharmacologic management. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Alex worked as a mental health technician with the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. This experience provided him with extensive exposure to individuals with severe and complex psychiatric conditions and continues to inform his trauma-informed, patient-centered approach to care.

 

Alex has advanced experience in the management of treatment-resistant depression and serves as a provider overseeing a Spravato® (esketamine) clinic, where he evaluates patient eligibility, manages treatment protocols, monitors response, and ensures safety throughout the course of care. He emphasizes careful assessment, ongoing monitoring, and collaborative decision-making when incorporating advanced treatment options.

Sydney Mondshine, PA-C

Board Certified Physician Assistant

Sydney Mondshine, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in psychiatric care. She has a clinical focus on the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. Sydney is deeply committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals from all walks of life.

She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from South College in Knoxville, Tennessee. Prior to joining Ocoee, Sydney worked at a clinic specializing in substance use disorders, where she gained valuable experience managing complex co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions. Her background allows her to approach patient care with a comprehensive, integrated perspective tailored to each individual’s needs.
