Out‑of‑Network Behavioral Health Care                       Your Choice, Your Care

We understand that navigating mental health care and insurance coverage can be frustrating. While our practice is out of network with some insurance plans, including BCBS, many patients choose to work with us because of the quality, access, and continuity of care we provide.

Why patients choose our practice

Our patients value a care model that prioritizes access, thoughtful treatment, and long‑term stability.

  • Timely access to care
Shorter wait times and greater appointment availability than many in‑network practices.

  • Physician‑led, team‑based treatment
Care is overseen by a board‑certified psychiatrist, with experienced physician assistants working closely as part of a collaborative treatment team.

  • Personalized, ongoing care
We emphasize meaningful follow‑up and individualized treatment plans rather than rushed, volume‑driven visits.

  • Continuity and consistency
Patients typically see the same clinician over time, supporting stronger therapeutic relationships and better outcomes.

  • Focused psychiatric expertise
Our practice is dedicated exclusively to mental health care.

Our clinical team

All care in our practice is physician‑directed. Our physician assistants have defined areas of clinical focus and work closely with the psychiatrist to provide comprehensive, coordinated care.

  • Sydney Mondshine, PA‑C
Clinical focus on the treatment of post‑traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders, with a patient‑centered approach to complex mood and trauma‑related conditions. She has extensive experience with Dual Diagnosis treatment (combination of mood and substance use disorder)

  • Alex Ferro, PA‑C
Primary clinical focus on the treatment of post‑traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and treatment‑resistant depression, emphasizing careful assessment, evidence‑based medication strategies, and close follow‑up.

This team‑based approach allows us to offer both specialized expertise and timely access, while maintaining the depth and oversight of physician‑led psychiatric care.

Using out‑of‑network benefits

Many insurance plans include out‑of‑network behavioral health benefits, which may reimburse a portion of visit costs after a claim is submitted. Our office can provide detailed receipts (superbills) to help make this process as straightforward as possible.

Even for patients without out‑of‑network coverage, some find that the overall cost of care is comparable once long wait times, missed work, and fragmented treatment are considered.

Our commitment to you

Remaining out of network with certain insurers allows us to:

  • Spend adequate time with each patient

  • Maintain reasonable appointment availability

  • Support a stable, experienced clinical team

  • Focus on clinical quality rather than volume‑based care

If you are seeking accessible, high‑quality psychiatric care with a collaborative, physician‑led approach, we would be honored to work with you.

Contact us to discuss availability, fees, and whether our practice is a good fit for your needs.
